We landed safe and sound in Hong Kong. Gabe was a trouper on the flight. Bringing the breast feeding pillow was the best idea because it gave Gabe a place to sit and play and sleep.... He was happy or sleeping for the vast majority of the trip. The person sitting next to us commented on what a great baby he was! (Incidentally, we made her life a little bit miserable anyway because she refused to trade the window for the aisle and so we were just up and down lots of the flight).
Best of all, because Gabe did so little sleeping on the way, we went to bed at 5:30 PM local time and woke up around 5 AM this morning. Gabe was in such a good mood he decided to grace us with his weekly poop. We are all now well rested, bathed, and ready to begin our eastern adventures.
